Laid down on 14 February 1910 D7 was launched on 14 January 1911
by Mrs Ricardo, wife of the Captain of the Dockyard, Captain Arthur.D.Ricardo RN.
Operating in the German Bight in May 1915 she had three bombs dropped on her but all missed.
D7 sailed on 15 May 1915 from Yarmouth but during the next day she bagan to leak and returned home.
In June 1915, patrolled the German Bight with D8
